Our Story

Raised with Love.
Born to Enchant.

We didn't just choose the Somali — the Somali chose us. Meet the people, the passion, and the philosophy behind DreamGiver.

A Chance Encounter That Changed Everything

Nikki came to cat shows with curiosity — not ambition. She spent years absorbing the world of pedigree cats, learning the breeds, the people, and the culture. When a fellow Abyssinian breeder invited her to co-breed, she dipped her toes in. And then she met the Somali.

"They just blew me away," she says simply. The Somali is the long-haired cousin of the Abyssinian — and where the Abyssinian dazzles, the Somali enchants. Fluffy fox-like tails, ticked coats that shimmer in sunlight, and an energy that fills every room. Once Nikki met them, there was no going back.

"Once you've had a Somali, it's a habit you just can't kick."

The Breed That Steals Every Heart

Somalis are not just beautiful — they are a full personality. Super loving, fiercely loyal, and sharply intelligent, they bond with their people in the way only a few breeds can. Their luxurious, semi-long coats catch the light and turn every ordinary afternoon into something extraordinary.

They are playful without being chaotic, affectionate without being clingy, and so full of life that every day with a Somali is genuinely joyful. At DreamGiver, we have dedicated ourselves entirely to this remarkable breed — because they deserve nothing less.

Born on the Bed. Part of the Family.

Every DreamGiver kitten enters the world in Nikki's bedroom — and stays there. They grow up underfoot, surrounded by conversation, movement, laughter, and love. They are handled constantly from the very first days of life. This is not a cattery in the traditional sense; it is a home where cats live first, and breeding is secondary.

Our kittens meet people of all ages, interact with other cats at every stage of development, and roam freely through a garden thoughtfully designed with their curiosity in mind — climbing spots, sensory textures, shaded nooks, and open sky. By the time they leave for their new homes at 16 weeks, they are confident, secure little souls — ready to charm and connect.

"They are treated as beloved pets from the very first breath they take."

The Relationship Doesn't End at Adoption

When a DreamGiver kitten goes to its new home, Nikki and Storm don't disappear. We stay in touch with every owner — genuinely interested in how your kitten is settling, growing, and thriving. We are always available with advice, guidance, and the occasional photo swap.

We want you to feel supported for life, not just for the first week. Whether it's a question about nutrition, behaviour, grooming, or just wanting to share a proud moment — we are here. That's the DreamGiver promise.
